If you have a question about the upcoming auditions, please email it to chorale@ucla.edu.

By joining a UCLA choral ensemble you will get to know over 200 students who share your interest in music and performance. At the same time, you will enrich the lives of others by presenting professional and meaningful concerts to the UCLA and Los Angeles community. Most of all, you will enjoy being a part of a tradition of excellence that will bring you joy and fulfillment outside of your academic life.

Auditions for UCLA choral ensembles are held at the beginning of each quarter. You must be able to read music in order to audition. You do not need to prepare a solo for the audition. The audition itself will take about five minutes, during which you will be asked to vocalize (to determine your vocal range and ability) and to sight-read a short melody (to determine your level of musicianship). Auditions are held in Professor Neuen’s office, 2411 Schoenberg Hall.

All students must audition regardless of any previous UCLA choral experience.
